Action Towing Inc. of Tampa is more than a towing company—it’s a family business with deep roots in the Tampa area. It all began in 1986 when John Lavo Sr. moved from Ohio and brought his successful experience in the towing industry to Florida. What started as one man’s mission quickly grew into a family-run operation with strong values and hands-on service.

When John’s son stepped away from the corporate world, he joined the business, helping expand it even further. In 1996, another son, Dan, took charge of the towing side—and Action Towing Inc. was officially born. As demand grew, the team moved from a small space on West Linebaugh Avenue to their current, larger location on Sheldon Road in Tampa.

But the growth didn’t stop there. With the addition of their brother Mark—an expert in body work and paint—the family launched Pro Auto Collision Inc. in 1997. Combined with Pro Auto Care, the Lavo family now operates three businesses under one roof: towing, auto repair, and collision services.
